888 Online Casino Signs Deal with New World Snooker

World Snooker has announced that 888casino.com, the world’s leading online gambling company, has signed up to become the new title sponsor of the World Seniors Championship.

The World Seniors Championship is scheduled to take place at Portsmouth’s Mountbatten Centre on 19th and 20th October, 2013 and will by broadcast by UK pay-television broadcaster BSkyB.

The event will feature snooker celebrities from the past three decades and will include Jimmy White, Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor, Joe Johnson, Cliff Thorburn, Nigel Bond the defending champion as well as seven time World Champion Stephen Hendry.

Barry Hearn, the chairman of World Snooker, commented that 888casino.com is showing incredible support for snooker this season and is sponsoring a huge range of events.  Hearn added that the World Seniors Championship has proved to be tremendously successful since its inception in 2010 and it is marvelous to see the legends of the game having an opportunity to compete for a trophy. Hearn also said that they are looking forward to working with the 888 team and delivering a weekend of sensational snooker.

The popular online gaming company also signed a deal in June of this year to put its name to the new Champion of Champions snooker tournament in November, 2013.

The senior vice president of 888.com, Itai Pazner, revealed that they are extremely thrilled to continue their connection to snooker across several events in the forthcoming months.

888.com were the sponsors of the World Snooker Championship from 2006 to 2008.
